About this Notice
This Privacy and Cookies Policy Notice provides you with information about how Winston Industries LLC. (hereafter “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your data, and how to contact us in the event of a correction or complaint.

This policy also outlines how we collect, use, and disclose certain personally identifiable information that we receive in the United States of America from the European Economic Area (EEA personal data), your rights in relation to your EEA personal data, and how to contact us and EEA supervisory authorities in the event you have a complaint.

The websites (“sites”) for our various divisions are as follows: foodservice.winstonind.com, winstonind.com, win2uit.com, winstonindustries.com, winstonmanufacturing.com , and kfcfryers.com.

The services we provide include, but are not limited to, products, customer service, recruitment, networking, educational offerings, online and in-person events, mobile apps, print and electronic information, and communications in the global marketplace.

The events we hold include trade shows, meetings, conferences, seminars, committee meetings, board meetings, webinars, etc.

Winston Industries, employees, exhibitors, participants and attendees at events, visitors to our sites, other users of our sites and services, and recipients of our communications agree to their personal information being used and disclosed in the manner set out in this policy.

In the case of those who have not participated in our events, written permissions from you will be obtained, as necessary, to use your information in accordance with this policy or where it is required and authorized by law.

This policy only applies to our sites and services. If you visit other websites (or navigate to other websites from ours) you are urged to read their separate privacy policies. Similarly, this policy does not apply should you choose to share your personal information with an event exhibitor or other event participants either in-person or online.

Changes to this Policy

This policy was published on March 14, 2019.

We update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our information practices. Please review this policy periodically for changes. If we make material changes, we will notify you by means of a notice on this website or in advance by email where required by law.

EEA Personal Data Collection and Use
Our privacy policy describes the categories of EEA personal data that we may receive in the United States of America as well as the purposes for which we use that data. Site

Similarly, in order for us to provide, improve, and communicate with you about our services, we may collect and process personal information including name, address, telephone numbers, items purchased, payment details, email address, business and trade demographic information, title, job function, social media accounts, dietary preferences, apparel size, interests, activities/hobbies, age, gender, education, and lead retrieval, geographic location, and dwell time at events, etc. Other information collected may include mobile app usage data and electronic device type.

Employees, exhibitors, and attendees submit personal information through forms, applications, or contracts for the purposes of membership, engaging in and receiving communications from us about our site and services. Members, exhibitors, and attendees who submit personal information relating to other employees in their companies for the purposes of using our services agree that they have the authority to do so and provide consent for current and future processing as outlined in this policy.

What is the purpose for obtaining your information?
We collect your personal information to provide you personalization on our sites and services, fulfilling our contractual obligations, and/or providing you with information and communications regarding our sites and services. We process the personal information we collect for a number of purposes:

  • Personalizing our current and future sites and services.
  • To fit personal preferences which we have inferred from the information provided by you.
  • To provide you with the appropriate local version of the site (see the “Analytics” and “Cookies” sections for more information).

Where allowed, individuals who generate and post content on our sites including company or personal profiles, message board posts, chats, blogs, photos, etc. do so voluntarily. We will remove such personal information if requested and where required by law.

This Policy shall not apply to publicly available information on our sites or elsewhere. Such publicly posted and available information shall not be considered personal data.

Security

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorized manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to manage any suspected data security. We will notify you, and any applicable regulator, of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

Disclosures for National Security or Law Enforcement

Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your EEA Personal Data in response to valid requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

How long do we keep your information?

We keep records for as long as required to provide the relevant services. If you have opted-in to receive communications from us, you will remain on our list until you notify us. We also keep records for our own legitimate interests in accordance with legal requirements (4-10 years) and tax and accounting requirements (7 years to permanent). Rosters, meeting minutes, and other official association business documents are kept as a permanent record.

Your Rights

In some jurisdictions, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you and to have it corrected where necessary.

You may also have a right, in certain circumstances, to have your personal data blocked, erased, or request that we stop processing your personal information.
